AEGT 6
AEGT stands for Amateur Engines Grand Test and is a great idea by Heinz van
Kempen. In this tournament, all testers put their CPUs in common. Rules are
hosted here
at Igor Gorelikov's website. Igor is the new coordinator of AEGT.
There are several groups of 12 engines, playing a double round robin tournament
at the time control of 40/40 (adapted to 2Ghz processor). The goal is to get
many games at this time control for these engines.
I am running the King group on my PIV 3 Ghz 512mb (time control 40 moves in
24 minutes). The games are played under Arena 1.1 and less than 100MB of memory
usage per engine is allowed.
