Gnu Chess 5's strength?

Since I have had several hundred downloads, I assume that many people have tried GNUChess 5.0. Does anyone have some kind of handle on how strong it is?
I am curious.
It seems to be midway in complexity between Phalanx and Crafty. The code is very well written -- light years ahead of previous versions of GNU Chess.

In Frank's page, sonn you'll see a little tournament between TCB0044, ANMON 5.00, COMET B.08, INMICHESS 3.00 and GNU 5.0. Those were the list names in the end table.
Two draw versus Comet, it was the best performance for GNU 5.0.

today i have played the first two games of GnuChess 5.0 against TCB 0044.
It seems to be that GNUChess 5 is very strong.
1. game: TCB 0044 - GNU 5.0 1-0
2. game: GNU 5.0 - TCB 0044 1-0

I am anxios for the next games of GNU 5.0.

The output will tell you if it is from the book or not. If from the book, then the book is probably bad. If not, then the engine.

It was in blitz games, Frank!, and the HT were in default, but for this quickly level, I think is sufficient if not necesarily.
