It was an open tournament, you could use your own hardware or get a PC
or workstation from the organizers. P.Conners used a cluster of x-Pentiums,
Diep played on Hyatt's Quad Xeon, Shredder, Fritz and SOS brought their
duals with them, Amy had a dual from the university.
