Also yace doesn't terminate after a game. After this over night match 6 instances of yace were running (controlled by NT's taskmanager). Following options has been set: /debug /tc 60 /inc 0 /mg 30 /reuseFirst false /reuseSecond false

I don't use ponder with yace.
Try without ponder and see if that is the problem

I have also made a 20 game match between Comet and Yace (5+0 blitz, 12:8 for Comet). There was no problem at all.
Indeed a very strong newcomer ! My feeling is that the next match could very well end the other way.
In case anyone is interested, the games follow below. Yace played with a book made out of 5000 games by strong GMs (40 ply depth, 125000 lines, 5000 games, 400000 moves [btw what is the nr of lines displayed by the book_create utility ?]).

I had been wondering how the number of lines could differ from the number of games. I had been thinking of chess variations as lines.
But you are just counting the in the pgn file.
