YABRL: Rebel 12 on rank 7

After ~700 games Rebel 12 (i.e. Rebel 12.00.01 to be exact) ranks as seventh in YABRL, which specifically is behind Ruffian 1.0.1, List and DeepSjeng. But Rebel is very probably neither a Blitz expert nor an expert for engine-engine matches.
Letting Rebel play that many games, makes apparent that it is not exactly bug-free:
- It is unstable; after some 50 to 100 games it crashes regularly, so that I had to start the test all over, enabling reloading of the engine after each game.
- At least in the ERT from ChessPartner 5.3 Rebel claims mate one move too early (i.e. when the opponent will mate Rebel with its next move), which causes ERT to abort the game.
For exact conditions please refer to the link below. The next combination I will test is Ruffian 2.0.2 with the new opening book by Djordje Vidanovic available from www.gladiatorshop.com, which is a modified Leiden book. I could imagine that this configuration will score higher than 2.1.0 with the standard book, but we will see ....
