Fruit 1.5 released!

Hi,
as a betatester I wanted to comment the release of Fruit 1.5.
This engine is still not complete as many important eval features are missing, such as
- king safety (!)
- unstoppable passed pawn detection (!)
- endgame knowledge in general
- no evaluation of strong and weak squares
etc.
And there is no opening book so far.
Nevertheless some important featuers have been introduced since Fruit 1.0. I quote from the Readme:
- added mobility in evaluation (makes Fruit play more actively)
- added drawish-material heuristics (makes Fruit look a bit less stupid
in some dead-draw endgames)
- tweaked the piece/square tables (especially for knights and pawns[added by me])
- added time management (play easy moves more quickly, take more time
when unsure)
Fruit 1.5 is significantly stronger than 1.0, at least 50 Elopoints on fast time controls. For long time controls there is no reliable data yet, although there is no reason to believe that it should perform worse.
I think it is on the same level like Gothmog or Movei (if provided with a reasonable GUI-Book), but test yourself!
regards Joachim

It's a strong engine. And with the potential to get better when all of the above is taken care of, it is an engine to keep an eye on.
In UCI format, I had Fruit play 6 blitz games (4'+2") on the Fritz8 GUI against Fritz8. I used my home-made ".ctg" book for Fruit. Fruit was able to get 2 draws against Fritz8, while losing the other 4. I thought that was respectable.
