Good Lord Leo,
Your tournaments are murder!!
PostModernist and SlowChess have *combined* only 1.5 points out of 15!!

I'm also curious, why is Booot playing in the 6th division (he seems as strong,
or stronger, than most of the 3rd division engines- and maybe some of the
2nd division engines)?
Anyway, I'm not complaining (really) Your tournament is still the gold standard,
against which all others are measured against and for my money still the most
difficult to predict.
cheers,
--tom
P.S. BTW, congrats to both Alarm and Movei, well done so far.

Thanks for the good results but I do not believe that movei will be able to promote and it is probably ready for nothing good except accidently leading the first division and maybe accidently getting a point here and there in WCCC.
I will be happy if it does not go down to the second division.
This stupid thing does not know a lot of evaluation terms and I cannot say that it knows all the basic stuff about evaluation and I did not have success in implementing a part of the knowledge of fruit in productive way(I also still did not try another part).
It is also a very slow engine relative to most of the other engines and the reason that it is slow is not a big evaluation function but bad programming of me and bad compiler.
It is not using hash in an effective way.
It is badly written and another programmer with the same ideas could probably generate something that is at least 200 elo better by adding standard stuff like Internal iterative deepening and better use of hash.

Uri, you seem tired!
Movei is a good engine and you did a good work so far. After the WCCC you
will have the time to reimplement all the 'bad' parts of your engine.
Good luck in the WCCC!

Booot finished at rank 18 in the last 6th division so he have to play there again but I am sure he will go up this time :)
Thats fine, then its more interresting to follow :))
Best wishes,
Leo.

Hi Leo. I have a beta version with some improvements. I missed the begining of the tournament. Am I still on time to send an update?
Thanks.
