Hey Günther,
If you would send me the log file and any winboard debug files you may have,
it would be greatly appreciated.

@Tom: I send you the log and debug soon!
(From a Human POV the move is a grave blunder, but it seems it
is not obviously for some chess programs?
BTW F8 immediately gives around -4 for ...Rxd4?? and _never_ considers
it at all when analyzing that postion.)
I am not sure anymore if the position was still drawish before 36...Rxd4??,
but anyway this move loses at once, but to my astonishment several programs
placed around Djinn in Class C, showed the same problem to avoid it?
Djinn_0870:    avoids ...Rxd4?? after 56.3 sec on my PIV 2.67Ghz (Rc5 -0.52)
DanChess_106e: avoids it after 3.4 seconds! (Rc5 -0.33)
Scidlet_36:    not avoiding in 90 seconds (-0.27)
Trace_129:     not avoiding in 90 seconds (-0.59)
Zappa_070X:    not avoiding in 90 seconds (-0.11)
GreKo_281:     avoids it in 83.4 seconds (Rc5 -1.55)
BTW after analyzing a bit more it seems 35...Rc4? is perhaps already
a losing error, as it loses an important tempo after 36.Rd4 etc...
(diagram below first one)

avoid ...Rxd4 (immediately lost pawn endgame - not sure though if the endgame is lost anyway?)

Even more interesting might be to analyze that position,
avoiding Rc4:
Booot_403 vs. Djinn_0870
RWBC Class B round 10
6k1/3R1p2/p1r1p1p1/8/5P2/K1P5/1P3P2/8 b - - 0 35 a b c d e f g h 8 8 7 7 6 6 5 5 4 4 3 3 2 2 1 1 a b c d e f g h generated with GenDiag 1.8 (C) 2002 by Andreas Herrmann
...Rc4 seems to lose a very important tempo (Kg7, or perhaps Kf8 have perhaps drawing chances?)

Gunther,
Thanks for the detailed analysis. I look this over tonight to see
why Djinn is so fond of ...Rxd4, which as you pointed out, is a
colossal blunder. I'll post any revelations I reach here. I may
also post this to CCC, to see what the august minds over there think
of it.
regards,
