Does it still work correctly?
I am asking because for some searches I can't by no means
find older messages? I.e. I am searching older messages
about test tourneys from RWBC, because I try to find some
older files on my machines and want to put them up on my
site. So far I could not find results before August 2003,
but I have pgns since May 2003 for my PIV 2.67Ghz and I am
sure I have posted those...

You are right. I found exactly 1000 hits for RWBC. Maybe there is some kind of limitation. I'll contact Parsimony, but their support depends of the wheather or whatever...

You are right. I found exactly 1000 hits for RWBC. Maybe there is some kind of limitation. I'll contact Parsimony, but their support depends of the wheather or whatever...

Hi Volker,
The possible limitation is not the whole story, because if
I search for example after 'test tourney' alone, I get much
less results, but still no old matches.

Hi Volker,
Please look also at my other message, the limit of 1000 isn't the
problem. I.e. search for 'RWBC test tourney' , 'test tourney'
or 'WBEC test tourney' or similar and look at the date of the
oldest matches. It seems not to search through old archives,
well it seems even to use different old archives for some searches.

Sad that your parents couldn't buy a real name for you.
I have no idea how the Parsimony's search function really works.
I made some tests with "RWBC", "Test" and other combinations and
I can confirm what Guenther wrote.
However, I posted some weeks ago that this forum is going to move.
This will happen in autumn or winter. It is paid up to March 2005
so I have no reason to hurry.
On what ever Parsimony's support quality depends, it has convinced
me to move. Let's assume the wheather.

Search for "test tourney" with '"' around your phrase and not for a bag of words like 'test tourney'. The word 'test' triggers a 1000 hits per word limitation.
