free winboard engines help.

Hi
I had a collection of winboard chess engines on my old pc.
when i moved to another country, i copied all of this files on a CD.
The problem is when i try to copy my files on my new PC [which runs Windows XP]
the exe files don't work . note that i used W2k on my older pc.
I can make the exe file of DanChess again but the task of re-downloading all those free winboard engines is huge. If some body has a collection of free winboard engines >= division 3 of WBEC, please send it to me at my yahoo address. if some body knows how to run those engine exes on Wxp, please let me know. the problem seems to be only on the exe files.

Just having a stab in the dark here. Could it be that when you copied the files from your CD to your HD that the files on your HD now have the read only flag set? I guess this could stop engines from running when they try to write to a log file or open a file in read/write mode.
