Volker Annuss completed his double round robin where the Hermann games were played by Brian Richardson. Thanks to both for the games.

5  Bruja 1.7                       61.5 / 110

9  Alarm 0.93.1                    42.5 / 110

We have no information from Thomas Mayer and so I would propose that we wait one week more and if then there is still nothing, Ralf and I will play the last double round robin for Bishop Class. Although here only the fight for first Bishop Class Champion seems to be interesting, results for the others are still important (as well as the gauntlets) to decide where they will play in AEGT 2. Spike and DanChess we should guarantee that they can play at least in Rook Class with next AEGT.

When do you think the AEGT 2 will start? We think we could built a stronger Version of Spike for it.

Hello Volker,
hard to say at this time. We will wait until next Thursday for Thomas Mayer. Let´s assume that we do not hear from him. Then Ralf and I will play the last double round robin until Monday or Tuesday of the following week using two or three computers for this. Probably a few days later we will also have all games in King Class from Igor and Claude, but here a sixth double round robin is needed that will be played either by Johan (if he has CPU time) or by me. Probably in two weeks all will be ready including a lot of gauntlets for rating calculation and qualify and then we will announce AEGT 2.
There will be a deadline then giving at least four days to the authors to come up with new versions. So I can roughly say that we will start around September 15th if nothing unusual happens. I will give some proposals of how to continue next week here in the forum, but at least those engines finishing first or second in their class now will be promoted independent of rating gained.
