A 'quick and dirty' compile of Amundsen 0.35 source code
by John Bergbom using Open Watcom 1.2.
Tested working ok with
Arena 1.0 beta 9.
Console mode not functioning. (wait for better compile by DC.)
Xboard mode fine.

(right-click and 'save as')

I built one a while ago.
ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/chess-engines/n ... undsen.zip
I have not tested it much yet, but it does play under winboard.

Well, that was a waste of time. Well at least I may have learned a few things, namely to check your site first! Why no updated link on WBEC-Ridderkerk?

Hello Jim,
Contrary to poular opinion, Leo is actually human and has to have these builds pointed out to him.
:-)
His ability to find out about updated and new engines is second to none I admit which sometimes makes him a victim of his own efficiency....

Popular opinion....ahhh, neophyte typist blues. (n/t)

Of course I have the utmost respect for Leo and the hard work he puts into WBEC Ridderkerk to make it the best computer chess site on the web, and that's why I usually expect there to be another reason why an engine isn't featured (buggy/incomplete etc) other than the fact he doesn't know about it, which I would never presume, or expect. Actually human? Mmm, a cyborg with an unlimited power source perhaps?

Do not laugh! I have seen things that would make you wonder. For instance, I know that...no, no, Leo put the phaser down! No! Arrrrrgghhh! ......
