Where might I check? - I cant find it anywhere...??
TomI have created a utility that will make managing your engines in Winboard faster and easier than the traditional way. For those people who are sick of editing the winboard.ini file, then this utility is for you. With just a few clicks of the mouse button you can add, deleted and change engine options with this new tool.
I have created a small web page for it, just click on the link below where you can find the link for downloading it (only 15KB's!) and for a better discription of the utility.
Cheers,
Tom.

I'm not sure who's fault it is, but I like to blame Microsoft by default. Is this my fault or yours?

Actually, it does backup your winboard.ini file. Every time you start the program, it will back up the current winboard.ini file to old_winboard.ini. Because this happens every time it starts, this means the old_winboard.ini file will be overwritten. So I still recommend that people backup their winboard.ini file just in case it takes a while to discover a problem and need to restore back to the original winboard.ini file. What about automatically creating the backup copy of winboard.ini?
