Stability test with 2min/40moves
Hash 128MB max 160MB.
Ponder off
Table after 13 from 25 rounds!
Hanging problem once and for all solved.
(sending not only kill but a forced kill now
to DelphiMax and SilkeChess, kill is also needed
for Ayito, SmallC and may be even Amundsen)
-TRex crashed once
-GES lost several games on time (hopefully solved in newest 1.21)
-Naum lost 1 on time (move 78)
-SmallC lost 1 on time (lost connection to WB?)
-JSBam lost 2 on time
-Ayito lost 3 on time
-Amundsen lost 3 on time (all in dead lost position)
-NanoSzachy 1 wrong claim (actually wrong syntax in the claim)
-Firefly 1 wrong draw claim (actually the problem is not that
it claimed too early when the opponent was to move next, but
there were 3 identical positions! with different move right.)

Thanks, Günther, for starting this test tourney, and for showing again that Surprise has less stability problems than problems playing good chess :-( (I know, it's 40/2, but sometimes a few seconds are enough to see who's good and who's not.)
Being one pawn and two developed pieces ahead, Surprise did not find any other plan than repeating king moves, what a shame. Instead of 34. Kg1, Surprise should have tried any queenside plan, e.g. creating a passed pawn on b. The very clever ones would simply walk with their king from g2 to a6, and after winning Pa7, they would mate in a few plies. But how to find this, how to know that Black's pieces are really "dead"?
I suspect that the better engines would recognize it. So perhaps Surprise won't go further than OpenClass yet, provided it qualifies.
But be prepared, one day ...
Cheers,
Sven

So my engines are as ill as I am. Pity.
Beta versions of KKFChess2.6.7b and FireFly1.1.2b (with 3-fold bug fixed, among others) is available for limited period (as long at I am online) at the address below.

Mostly bug fixes, no time for real improvements.
Grab them while you can!

Have fun.

because I am already (nearly) well again.
Got them :)

May be Surprise was just in time trouble and would have played
right for the win after the 40th move cut?
I agree even for a 2/40 it looks goofy for us Humans, but well
we would often look goofy too in tactics at that speed ;)
IMHO Surprise already had made some jump in strength with that version
and I am not sure anymore, if it must qualify at all.
Going further than the OpenClass is currently not very realistic,
because of too much good new programs and just 9-10 promotion spots.
First goal should be not to demote from the OpenClass, as all below
place 42 must leave.
:-)

-Ayito 1 wrong mate claim (for the false side)

Hi Piotr, sorry for the confusion, I should have looked
for the debug first! You are right, in fact Ayito sent that
wrong mate claim.
