When will the tournament begin? I have version 0.30 almost ready, but I'm still testing, looking for bugs...
Very soon. For sure by next Friday. Did you receive the emails about what is allowed? You should be on my list.

Are we headed towards some kind of unified SSDF listing? With so many people willing to contribute games we can finally get a gigantic database..Of course, everyone will be using different computer processors, but I don't subscribe to the idea that some engines gain more or less than others from faster processors, so this is fine with me..
But still a uniform Conditions as possible is better..
Things that can be controlled
1)TBs- Either none or All 3,4
2)Opening book- use default specified by programmer..We can do much about learning unless you want to turn it off..
Lastly, what about battle of the crown for Blitz time controls?
For the Battle of the Crowns, all 3 & 4 piece Nalimov and Edwards tablebase files will be available.
I don't want to turn it off. If a learner kicks your butt, you deserve it.
I absolutely despise blitz. Someone else will have to do that. It seems like a good idea to those who are interested in such things. You could also have a list which is combined with all games (sort of overall outlook). That one would be easy because you just shove any games you find into it.
Don't get me wrong. I do use blitz games for testing. I just hate looking at them.

To whom should I send the BoC games? I tried dcorbit@solutoinsiq.com, but it bounced. Am I supposed to upload the games at the ftpsite or?
Spelled it wrong.
dcorbit@solutionsiq.com
"ions" not "oins"
Hmm... just clicked on your name. The danger of having to type your e-mail address each time you post I suppose. The games are in the mail.
Best wishes...

Finally someone names a program after you and then it stops working >properly ;o). There you go, no justice in this wretched world.
So when can we see some Larsen ver Larsen games posted here?
As long as the darn program refuses to work, I'm winning most of the games ;o). I managed to complete my computer upgrade yesterday, so all programs should be able to give a good and thorough beating. Actually they did that before the upgrade, so I guess nothing's new.
Best wishes...
