Greetings winboard enthusiasts!
I have recently begun playing engine-engine games with Gromit, which I had downloaded many months ago. I cannot believe how cleverly this program works!, and how human-like the playing style is. Can't believe I overlooked it for so long. I am especially impressed with how user-friendly this engine is in allowing the user to adjust many playing-style parameters such as queenside castling/kingside castling via the eval.cfg file. Would like to try different custom eval.cfg's. If anyone has made one or knows where to download custom evals, please inform.

Many Thanks to Frank Schneider (http://home.t-online.de/home/hobblefrank) for a wonderfull program

Frank Schneider seems like a nice guy, if you get a chance see the Wallace & Gromit annimations from Britland.
Grommit is a great program, very much underused. I've only reduced the hashtable sizes myself and in that case I made a note to the right of the End of Line mark (;) about what the original value was.
But in the case of doing drastic changes to it's playing style what you might want to do is before you make the changes to make a backup copy of eval.cfg so that you don't loose it's zero ground settings, for example, save it as eval.bak or eval.txt and then go back and edit only in the orriginal eval.cfg
Good luck, I'd concetrate first on Bishops and also Rooks to open files and Rooks to the 7th rank, your 7th rank is a good place to have your rook towards the endgame. Let us know if you come up with something you like.
