I've been accused in this Forum of cloning, omitting which program I cloned.
That has no sense for me, specially seen how weak is my program.
But, as I have nothing to hide, I'll send my program's source to any WELL KNOWN person who wants to check it.
I won't answer private emails. I want everything to be public. So I'll only consider posts here.
I suggest that anyone who wants to accuse someone of cheating should have hard evidence. Some typical examples are to show that several large string table are exactly duplicated and things of that nature. Anyone can accuse people of wrongdoing, but the burden of proof lies upon the accusers, not on the accused.
Make your program source known *only* if that is what you wish to do. If there are some particular charges you would like to dispell, you can always disclose only the amount that dispells the charges. I personally did not see the post making the accusations.
To charge someone with a lack of integrity should have very good evidence. I have seen for myself some crafty clones and proved to myself beyond any shadow of a doubt that they were clones. But without proof of guilt, I will always assume innocence.
Some chess programmers *ENCOURAGE* cloning. Certainly that is the case with TSCP.
