Hi Winboarders,
Ever downloaded tournaments from Franks site, Then find that
Frank's name is on every _single_ _game_ in the PGN file !.
well, i've just found a superb little utility that will
clean up these unwanted tags, and turn this:-
[Event "Larsen, ML-8, P II 266, 16-20 HT"]
[Site "Denmark, 40/20"]
[Date "2000.03.18"]
[Round "1.1"]
[White "Ant 4.16"]

The program is "extract" by David Barnes, Only downloaded it

finding duplicate games:-

clean up these unwanted tags, and turn this:-
I edit all games which I got from the first minute with Chess-Base 7.0. Here I made in the WinBoard MainBase the same names for the engines, added the eco code, land and more.
I work hours on the databases from user (it`s more time than a tournament HTML file). The next database update from all tournaments when my FQ-2 tournament is over.
Its easy to delete my name from the games in Chess-Base 7.0 (pgn to cbh, edit, cbh to pgn).
Regards
Frank

...or alternatively you could write a 1 line perl script which would do exactly the same thing and would take all of 20 seconds to code.
Cheers,
