Phalanx-Winboard Question / Help needed

Hallo,
today I tried to setup the new version of Phalanx. I downloaded the Corbitt executable from his ftp-site .
I also have a working pbook and sbook.phalanx .
In winboard.ini I have
\"Phalanxf -l+ -t80000 -r600 -o-\" /fd=c:\\phalanx
All this should be more or less ok ( advice from Frank Quisinsky's page used ).
I wanted to play a game with "Ponder= On " .
After the opening was finished and the engine started to think though it didn't stop to make a move anymore but instead continued thinking forever .
I remember this has been discussed in January or so in this forum but I thought this problem has been solved in the meantime.
What do I do wrong or better : what do I have to do to get phalanx working well under winboard with Ponder=on ??
thanks in advance .

Hi,
I have the same problem but I use with ponder=on the version by Dusan Dobes. For this version the parameter -o- is not required !

Also bei bei pondert's so :

\"Phalanx22 -l+ -t32768 -r700\" /fd=d:\\winboard\\phalanx
ganz ausgezeichnet.

Ja,

Fine : the Dusan Dobes -version works very well with "ponder=On"
So it seems the version from Dann Corbit's site won't work with ponder=on .
I know you don't _support_ your versions but wasn't sure if this is a known problem for you.
greetings.

well then,
it won't work on my computer though.
This is a PIII using Windows98SR2 (if this matters ) . I am not very confident to see this solved some day if it isn't happening everywhere :-(
