winboard / engine commands

A quick question , is it possible to engines commands after you have started the winboard session - if yes, how.
Say you start winboard and you have a engine command that selects personalites and you want to change the personality without restarting winboard -- is that possible?

use ALT+1 for sending a command to the first engine and ALT+2 for sending a command to the second engine.
