Too early, not enough statistical evidence, yeah, yeah, heard it all before. This SmarThink is not packing the punch of its predecessor. The top free engine in the WBEC Premier is going to be different.
Later.

When I was testing Tao 5.6 (Beta) I ran it it against Smarthing .17a and it did not do well against Tao in 1 hour games so I expected simular results in Leo's games. The below 8 games is no where near enough games to really determine anything and at the time my main concern was to test different settings in Tao to see the performance against other top engines in Leo's tourneys.

Engine Score Ta Sm S-B
1: Tao 6.0/8 ········ =1111=01 12.00
2: SmarThink 2.0/8 =0000=10 ········ 12.00
8 games played / Tournament finished
Name of the tournament: Tao-VS-Smarthink
Level: Tournament game in 60 min
Hardware: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+ 2171 MHz
