The Sixth New Infinite Loop will start on 27th May with pre-qualifiers for
engines which have not played in main cycle of New IL.

Any problems, you can send me zipped log files.
Expect problems with List near the end of the game (mate in one).
I think Piranha does not work with recent versions of PolyGlot (logs welcome).
Time problems were reported with PolyGlot+Monarch so be careful.
Steve is aware of it, maybe he knows what the problem is.
Will you run tests before the pre-qualifier?

Due to this bug, all the games with List participation will be played
under Arena.
It doesn't so one of the previous version of Polyglot is used.
My rule is to replay all the games which are lost on time. But not if an engine
has a time-related bug.
I run multi-game matches at very short time control.

Monarch seemed to use way too much time (and lost on time every game) in a test tournament by Gunther (I think), but there is still the possibility that it is a problem due to PolyGlot.

Some previous Winboard versions of Monarch are known as having time management bug (especially at short time control).

Yes there is a problem in Monarch 1.0 with the time allocation but it only occurs when the game is xx moves in yy mins. I don't think there is a problem if it is game in xx mins. I'll fix it in the next release.

The latest version of Monarch is a complete re-write in C so has no resemblence to the old Delphi Winboard version.
