I'm just guessing, but I suspect that Gothmog's rating may be slightly
higher than 2279.

This rating is the old one from version 0.4.3 that played 6 months ago. Gothmog will grab a lot of Elo points in this B tourney.
Actually I don't care a lot about Elo ratings : they are useful to make pairings, but the only thing that counts is to win games. Nevertheless, I feel that my ratings are more or less realistic.

Gothmog rating is not higher
It simply improves too fast so it's rating is always lower than it's performance.
Here are details about gothmog in previous tournaments.

Gothmog rating is not higher

Uri, I'm really impressed that you follow all events so carefully. Your analysis is very right.
BTW, what happened to Movei in this round ? Sorry, I have no logfile and I was not there when it happened. By looking at the pgn, we can see that Movei had more than 4 minutes to play 12 moves, but Movei stopped playing and ran out of time. But at draw vs. Patriot is not bad at all

I meant 22 moves here, I'm really not good at mathematics - from move 258 to move 280.

I do not know what was the problem at this moment.
Not bad but Movei was a piece up and it had a winning position.
