The buglist sofar: (can always be found at the bottom of the "Participants" page.
Engines with some bugs:
(if no stable version is available at the 1st of October they will be taken out for edition 9!)
Ant Tom Vijlbrief Netherlands (no mate result is send)
Averno Jóse C Martínez Galán Spain (no mate result, wrong 50 moves rule)
Celes / 31337 Johan Hutting Netherlands (no mate result is send)
Elephant Harald Luessen Germany (lose to many games on time)
Mint Christian Söderström Sweden (lose to many games on time)
OliThink Oliver Brausch Germany (no mate result is send)
Parrot Johanes Suhardjo USA (refuse often to start a game and lose on time then without playing a move)
Simontacchi Mike Maxim USA (lose to many games on time)
Its clear that I am tired of losing so much time with inclompete an buggy engines, specially if I look at the coming
editions with 4RR tourneys with 22 or 24 engines which will start 3 times a year!
Probably also engines which have no resign option will be taken out without further comments!
Crosstables and pgn on the WBEC homepage.
Enginelist, latest updates/new engines:
22/08/2004:
Updated: Little Goliath Revival v1.0.0.14 (UCI only!)
Updated: AICE v0.74 (Also UCI!)
Best wishes,
Leo.

Hello Leo,

I am running some games at 40 moves in 80 minutes and believe me, I really understand your anguish. No more testing of engines without those features - or at least WB engines in the WB gui.
The pain of seeing a draw play out over several minutes - several - is painful.
I quite agree with your position. The options to recognise a draw and to resign should become standard if the engines are to be used in competitions such as yours.
I guess the possibility of exclusion might encourage authors to make the modifications you desire. We all stand to benefit if they do.
:-)
Then again it might not encourage them at all...
Later.
Ps. Thanks for the WBEC.

I have confirmed this odd behaviour. OliThink was mated and insisted on thinking anyway! That seems to be a massive bug to me.
You have to know when the game is over.....
