I just noticed that it seems there is no real download for
WB 4.3.14_F available?
HG forgot to add working links in his post about it.
Moreover Fonzy and e4e6(GSEI site) only host older
versions up to 4.3.13c when the site of Weid even is gone
and sold... any other download?
Guenther

Hello Guenther,
In the above thread, the scond post post from bottom there is H.G.'s hidden link.
I believe that he would not mind this as he did post it in the open Forum for us Winboard fans.
Incidentally, from what I am seeing these days, we are a backward lot in here for using this ancient and creaking gui with obsolete and has been engines written by barely competent and envious programmers.
Later.

Hi Guenther and Roger
The Winboad Download sticky is still under construction. The Winboard files will be hosted at this Winboard Forum in the near future.
Backward Winboarder Regards,
Olivier

The problem is that we wanted to release WinBoard and xboard together, but that I could not put together an executable package for xboard, as I had no Linux. But the person who was working on putting together a nice release, including scripts and such, is currently ill. This has delayed the release. In the mean time I was able to install an Ubuntu Linux and at least do the compilation to make an xboard executable.
So now I am facing the dilemma: should I delay further to wait for the more elaborate, and no doubt much nicer executable package than I could improvise with my lack of Linux experience, or should we just release what I have now waiting on my website? Perhaps we should go for the last option; I can make a note with the Linux link that this is a temporary release, and that it will be replaced with a more elaborate one later. The xboard executable will be exactly the same anyway.
