The default icon name proposed/created refers to an older version.

I noticed that, but the installer does this spontaneously, and I do not know how to suppress it. It is related to the fact if you ask it to associate PGN / FEN files with WinBoard. If you do, it apparently checks in the registry what program these extensions were associated with before, and if it finds something, it proposes to install the new application as a replacement for the old associated application, i.e. in the same menu group.

I think the culprit is the "Installation Creator" you use, by the way, which one is it if I may ask?

We use NSIS (Null Soft).
