i need the computer to move faster

hi everybody, please help me with this subject - i've installed WinBoard 4.4.1 and currently playing Fairy-Max game, i've looked up all the options to change but coudn't find the option to make computer move faster. The option "Enable and Show thinking" doen't help.
is it possible? the matter is its my old colleague playing this game, so he asked me to help.
will be grateful for all answers!

You control the computer thinking time by setting the time control, through the Options -> Time Control... menu dialog. If you only want only the computer to move faster, and not you, you should specify a time-odds factor for engine #1 in that dialog. E.g. if you set the TC for 40 moves/10 min, and then specify time odds of 60, the computer will have to do 40 moves in 10 sec.

could you please tell me if it's possible to set up "levels of computer playing style", i mean to make the computer play easier...

There are some ways to make a Computer move faster :

- Clean Out Some Junk
- Defragment
- Boost Your Startup
- Virus Scan
- Remove Unnecessary Stuff
- Add Memory
- Update Windows

If you started up Winboard in "play engine match" mode, then go to options.
Under options, choose the dialog called time control.
