I use the following command line

xboard -debug -fcp gnuchess -egtFormats gaviota -defaultPathEGTB GTB

Gnuchess sends

feature egt="gaviota"

xboard sends

accepted egt

I expected that Gnuchess would now at least receive an egtpath command. However this does not
seem to happen. Is there anything more I should do? This is xboard 4.4.4.

-defaultpathEGTB is a legacy option only for Nalimov. I guess it should have been deprecated if it was not for the fact that it can be set from the menus,which the more general option cannot. The new option is -egtFormats, which allows specification of (multiple) arbitrary types. If format "nalimov" is not found in the -egtFormats string, XBoard uses the value of -defaultPathEGTB for it.

Ok now I see. I thought that egtFormats was only to specify the _format_ of the EGTB....
