Xboard bug with pixmaps

Postby Miguel A. Ballicora » 29 Jan 2011, 07:07

I think this picture is self explanatory (trying to use pixmaps).
In addition, If I remove -pixmap when I call xboard, it keeps doing the same thing. How do I indicated I do not want pixmaps anymore?
This is with the last development version.

PS: Posting images is not working. Looks like nothing is working for me tonight

Edit : I tried to fix the image, without success. It is probably because the link does not have an image file extension - Olivier

-pixmapDirectory is a persistent option, and thus saved in the ini file. You can set it to an empty string to disable it.

It could be that you did not provide pixmaps for empty squares that corresponded to the background of the pixmaps of the pieces. XBoard makes piece masks for animation / dragging, which I now also use for pieces in nominal position with board textures, by XOR-ing the pieces with the empty-square pixmap. Everything that ends up zero after that is considered background. The picture suggests that nothing is background. When you drag the pieces, do you drag the square with them?
