Hello

I've had this problem before
A game downloaded from a website and immediately Winboard signals an illegal move (illegal move 5... dxC6) when I enter the game from the clipboard
So I start to play out the game anyway, and on move 5 by white (Bxc6), I get a yellow circle and two pieces disappear off the board
I'm not great at reading chess but the moves below seem correctly written to me and there is certainly no illegal move in the video (reputable channel)

So why is this happening please and how do I solve it?

Same cause as in the other thread you created about this: you have somehow switched WinBoard to Atomic Chess before you pasted the moves. As you do not post a complete PGN, but just a bunch of moves, WinBoard stays in the same variant as it was before.

I have no idea how you got it switched to Atomic.
