Hello Roy,

At first. The parameter settings are very confusing. You'll need to put a zero on the command line
e.g matilde 0

The accompanying visual basic dlls are only needed if you
don't already have them on your system.

Hello Roy:
You must put a 0 or 1 or 2 with one space after Matilde at the command line. I do not why but with 2 the engine play stronger.

Ok what i was getting was runtime error message i change the folder
to c:\engines\Motore ,i had it as c:\engines\ Mathilde at first .
works fine now

winboard ini file has it as
for white
"Matilde 0" /fd="c:\engines\motore" ; /name="Matilde"

for black....
"Matilde 0" /sd="c:\engines\motore" ; /name="Matilde"

Alex16301 beat her in 16 moves first time and 23 second game i will try the setting of 2 as suggested .
But I will add right here i like the engine and it is a lot better than one i could build ,keep up the good work !!
