way off topis,compression utilitie

hi all,
i'm looking for a free compression utilitie and file zipper.
i've tried some but they just zip the file there does'nt seem
to be any compression.
using windows xp home.
help appreciated.

seams i was trying to compress .mpg files.
they are allready compressed about as far as you can get.

It works fine and is certainly sufficient for most needs.
