ICC formula

Postby Peter Fendrich » 28 Jul 2005, 14:58

Someone told me that my handle doesn't accept rated challenges at ICC.
Can anyone see a problem with this formula in this respect?
Code: Select all
 formula="(!provisional & rated=1 & rating > myrating-700 & (etime <= 180 & (etime >= 1 | inc >= 1)) & autocolor) | rated=0"

...or maybe you can try to challenge TerraPi with a "normal" rated game, something like
Code: Select all
match terrapi 5 1 r

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

basicly it makes no sense to add "rated" keyword to your formula, because, and may this produce only error with "useformula", you have a "rated" keyword in your variables. Please check this. This should be enabled with rated = 1.

My one looks like:

vars x-e
Here are the values of your variables:

rated=1 wild=0 time=5 inc=3 noescape=1 notakeback=1
minseek=2400 maxseek=9999 manualaccept=1 useformula=1
open=0 ropen=0 wopen=0 ccopen=0 mood=0 seek=0 sfilter=m
shout=1 sshout=1 kib=1 tell=1 ctell=1 otell=1 pin=0 gin=0 quietplay=0 tol=4 busy=0
style=13 width=87 height=12 wrap=0 prompt=1 highlight=0 bell=1
oldmatch=0 examine=0 unobserve=1 autoflag=1
who="C" players="abC" lang="German" webhelp=1
messmail=1 automail=1 mailformat=1 addresspublic=1 namepublic=0 subscribe=0
formula="((blitz&inc>=3&time>=4&(computer&rating>myrating-400|!computer&rating>1300))|(standard&time>=15&time<=60&inc>=5&inc<=30&rating>myrating-400)|(bullet&time>=1&inc>=1))&!wild&established&!freeweek&autocolor"
Channels: 1 2 33 44 64 73 126 165 211 212 220 221 226 227 250 277

Rehi :)

I'll checked your account:
Variable settings of TerraPi:

rated=0 wild=0 time=45 inc=10 noescape=0 notakeback=1
^^^^^^
minseek=0 maxseek=9999 manualaccept=0 useformula=1
^^^^^^^^^

I've looked at your formula and variables, and I can't figure out why terrapi won't accept a match like 5 1 r. I'd just reenter the formula without etime < 180, see what happens.

You do need rated=1 (or just rated) in the formula, contrary to what another poster said. Rated=1 in the vars only applies if you issue a seek command without parameters, has nothing to do with responding to a challenge.

Thank you guys!

The rated variable shouldn't have any impact on my autoaccept but it still does! When I use rated=1 it is impossible to match terrapi unrated. with rated=0 it is impossible to match terrapi rated. Strange... Here is from "help vars":
rated, wild, time, inc -- When you issue a "match" or "seek" command without parameters, the values you have for these variables will be used.
Nothing about accepting challenges from other players.
Strange...

I have now followed Will's advice and set the formula without etime. Well I can't see why it should change anything but who knows!
