Hello all,

I would like to make the point that often we think what difference can I make.

Well, Dann Corbit started a movement which exploded into a new computer for one of the computer chess scene's nicest and most enduring figures, Leo.

Yes, it is like a Brazilian footballer's name - no surname needed. Y'know, Zico, Pele and Socrates.

Leo's machine is up and running and I think that all the persons who made donations should be recognised for putting up their money and not wringing their hands in empty sorrow.

Dann Corbit, who despite his several skills and talents, remains quite modest (unlike say me who has a great deal to be modest about!), is one of my heroes.

Here is a list of some more of them...

Thomas McBurney
Dann Corbit
Olivier Deville
Alexander Schmidt
Harald JOHNSEN
Andrés Valverde
Bruno LUCAS
Ferdinand Mosca
Hinrich Buhr
Pradyumna Kannan
Grant Osborne
Stefan Sattler
Fonzy Bluemers
Aart Bik
Stephan Vermeire
Jean-Philippe Karr
Robert Pope
Salvador Pallares
Will Singleton
Edmonton Tek
Paulo Soares
Todd Martin
François Karr
Ian Morris
László Gáspár
Richard Allbert
Stefano Malloggi
CSVN
Eric BELOT
Pavel Háse
Les Fernandez
Kwai Fan
Jose A.G.Lartitegui
Adam Antonczyk
Rudolf Posch
Thomas Mayer
Raymond Banks
Giancarlo Delli Colli
John Boyd
Jaap Siebenga
Ciro Vignotto

To each of you, a job well done. The donation was far more valuable than the money sacrificed.

Now if Leo would realise that heart conditions aside, could he please get busy?

Naaaahh, someone might not understand that Leo is one of my dear friends who has given me numerous heart conditions over the years.

All the best Leo, you are truly a living legend.

Later.
