there is a new version of Tornado 2.1.40 available on my Site : http://sites.google.com/site/tornadochessengine/

main changes:

- a bug in chess 960 fixed
- add own book and make books from PGN games, for chess960 can make too.
- little search adjustements and add some patterns to eval

what do you think are the differences in strenght (+30 elos, more or less) in normal chess?

Hi Werner,
i don't know
work most of time on the book, and some little bugs in chess960 that crash sometimes, a very quick test with 1 min. games says equal 5,5-5,5 out of 11 games.
lets see what long time control results.
