Copy of Aaron Tay's Old Website Available

Postby Charles Browne » 30 Apr 2011, 13:14

Many here remember Aaron Tay's old computer chess website and know that Ron Murawski now host Aaron Tay's website online here:

And many here know that Ron has expanded on Aaron's information and provides regular updates on computer chess information here:

Even though Aaron Tay's actual website at its old URL is no longer online and the information in it has not been updated in years I wanted a local copy of Aaron Tay's website in its original format. So it has been gathered from the archive.org site. The archive site had continued to saved most of the pages up to around October 2006 and that is the time period the majority of the pages were saved from.

If anyone has an interest in having a copy of Aaron's old website it can be gotten below. Aaron Tay has not viewed the archived website but when I contacted him by email to ask his permission to provide a download of it on this forum he responded that it is not a problem.

There are actually two copies of the website in the zip file at the above URL. Information concerning the two website copies is in one of the included text files.

No external web page links were saved. Only Aaron Tay's pages are in the zip file.

It would have been close to impossible to have checked each locally saved link manually in the saved website, so the local links were checked using the program Xenu's Link Sleuth. Any reported broken links were fixed but there could still be some unreported broken local links.
