I have released Rodin v4.0 It can be downloaded from http://sites.google.com/site/clonfsp/
There are many new features, but most important ones are:
- Changes in internal data structures.
- Tappered eval.
- More chess knowledge added to eval function.
- Improves in extensions and reductions.
- Opening book based on polyglot file format. Own book.
- Speed optimizations.
In future I think I have a lot of ground to improve tactics, which is main Rodin weak point, althought now I stop develpment for a few months to rest. (except bug fixing,if any)
I copy two test tournament to allow you estimate Rodin v4.0 playing strength. First one is 20 moves in 1 minute, second one is all game in 30 secs. As you can see it looks like Rodin plays better at longer time control.
