xboard edit position broken ?

Postby Chan Rasjid » 17 Jun 2012, 11:53

Hello,

I am using xboard under Arch Linux with a 2-button mouse.

I cannot setup board with 'edit position'. Mouse right click will give only a black pawn on a square; 'shift' + right clik will give a white pawn.

The manual says the 2nd or 3rd mouse click will bring up a menu; but I tried all combinations of my 2-button mouse and no menu appears. So I can now only set board positions with only pawns!

When the -pieceMenu option is off, you have to select the piece by moving the mouse vertically with the right or middle button still down. This will change the Pawn into the piece you need (after which you release the button).

See the XBoard 4.6.0 News Page.
