Looking for an opening book for Godel

Postby Olivier Deville » 25 Jun 2012, 07:08

Hi all

There is no download link for the Godel opening book at https://sites.google.com/site/godelchessengine/home, and Godel won't run without the book... Please help!

Hi Olivier,

Press the view-link in the Opening book-section. After that you are offered a download-link (almost 60Mb) !

It seems Godel needs a commandline argument. Start the program with "godel -console" in console-mode and with "godel -xboard" in winboard-mode.
Other commandline arguments are "-pgn <file.pgn>" (to add moves from a pgn-file to the book) and "-test <file.fen>" (to run testsuites).
I have not figured out yet what "-store", "-time", "-ftime", "-stat", "-post" or "-debugroot" are used for.

I couldn't get the opening book - I keep being redirected to some Google spam webpage.
