Pro Deo 1.1 under WinBoard 4.2.7

Postby Anonymous » 25 Dec 2005, 12:39

I noticed (with TaskInfo program)something that oftenly Pro Deo 1.1 does not terminates in engine-matches

I mean in the next rounds (when the prodeo.exe it must be out) still thinks when the other engines are playing !

Is there something wrong with my setup:

EngineID=89
Name=Pro Deo 1.1
Version=
CmdLine=w9 rebel.eng
Exe=prodeo.exe
dir=C:\Program Files\GalisWBTM\ennggines\ProDeo11
Logo=
Author=Ed Schroeder
Country=

Thanks in forwards,

Hello Sedat,

sorry that I can give some guesses only, hope someone knows better.
but nevertheless:

When using PD via WB2UCI u can set the parameter
"TerminateHard = true"
if running under XP/NT.
This might help for the problem u describe.
(I dont know if it is possible to give this parameter to PD without using the WB2UCI.)

When testing PD1.0 the WB2UCI version was allways stronger here at my machine than the
simple, original WB version (quite ?!, but a fact ),
so it may be worth trying to use a double adapter:
PD -> WB2UCI -> polyglot.

Well, just an idea. The real Winboarders will know better for sure :-)
