POssible bug in AnMon 5.51

Postby Robert Allgeuer » 15 Nov 2004, 17:50

Why should AnMon under-promote here to a knight? I would consider this a bug; when analysing with Crafty it sees already a mate when promoting to a queen, but not so when under-promoting.

Robert

PS.: In this game Tao then wins on time, because it does not support underpromotion and makes an illegal move; a known problem which the author of Tao apparently does not want to fix.

yes, this was just the raw PGN output as it was created by that game, I then adjudicated that game to a loss for Tao.
