a question about Tytan 4.6 memory usage???

Postby Normand » 23 Nov 2004, 12:25

Hello,
I have upgrade Tytan from ver 3.98 to ver 4.6 with the same .ini parameters ....
The New Version Uses 50mega of memory vs 20 for theprevious version ...is this behaviour a normal one?

Postby Pablo » 23 Nov 2004, 17:13

Hello Nicolas:
I guess is a poroblem of Tytan.ini configuration.
As a test try following values in the Tytan.ini:

transp_size=1048575

pawns_size=65535

Tytan4.6 memory usage

Postby Pablo » 25 Nov 2004, 16:39

Hello Normand:
Very strange your high memory consumption of Tytan4.6 with those hash parameters.
In my PC with Winboard 98 consume only 24Mb of memory with 4 figures endtable.
A wild idea could be you are using a Nalimov endtable for 5 figures and since Tytan do not fix the max. memory consumption for the end table then take a lot of memory for it.
