Xpdnt 06.08.29 seems broken

Hi all,

While launching ACCC 4th Edition, I encountered a problem with the latest Xpdnt. The engine simply doesn't start under Arena. As specified on the page of David B Weller, I downloaded the latest opening book, and I created a 'logs' sub-directory in the file where Xpdnt is installed.

Note that Xpdnt 06.08.26 (the engine says 06.08.24 in the debug) runs perfectly.

Here must be the key to the problem.


Did anyone else encountered this problem ?

I tried to contact David B Weller but I didn't find his email.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

You also need to create a file 'name.txt' in the 'Logs' folder.
Note BTW that newer Xpdnt versions have time control
problems with x moves/ y time.
