Winboard GUI book

Postby juan dela cruz » 22 Dec 2006, 07:24

I'm just curious if anybody already tried to build a GUI book for Winboard, say using .wb bookfile as an example. Chessbase uses "ctg" and Arena uses "abk", will there be a future for this? A book builder function in Winboard maybe a good addition. Just asking.

All that is needed would be an inbetween WB book engine that calls the real chess engines when out of book.

MS/GS,

Thanks for the tips. I'm an Arena user and not fully familiar with the Winboard GUI functions. Im trying to study how to customize my own Winboard GUI together with Pradu's Tournament Manager and use all available adapters like polyglot, in-between and the like for my UCI/WB engine tests. But if the Thinkerboard interface of Lance Perkins has this feature, I'll have another option to test with. Thnaks again pals.
