After many years I have decided now to run this forum alone.

Roger and Richard are not Admins in this forum any longer. Thanks to both of them for their long-term cooperation.

It seems to me there is a decreasing interest in forums like this. In addition there are several mods installed which make administration almost automatically. Therefore it is not necessary to occupy three people with that.

I've been glad to be of some help. Compared to my previous moderator job in CCC this was an easy ride as Roger and Volker usually spotted and removed the crap even before I even saw it. My contributions have been limited to activate newly registered users and give my opinion now and then in the mod forum.

And because of those discussions I now know that running a forum is a bit more than just cancel messages now and then, like keeping the software up to date, backups, install the right forum modifications, deal with providers, attackers and the tireless spambots that register countless of useless user ids. Despite the fact that three people were listed as moderators, it was really Volker who took care of all of the above.

Volker: A big thanks for providing this service to the computer chess freaks for all of the past years!
