Well, 'Belofte' means 'promise' in Dutch, and the pawns hold the promise to become Queens. This is probably why it favors them :D

Yet Belofte can promote, I have seen it do it. It just doesn't seem to account for it in its evaluation.

Even more strange is that Belofte often resigns in positions like this... Due to this it might even lose a match against NEG, although it hugely overplays it. But then all games end in rep-draws in positions like the one above, or Belofte resigns in such positions.
