Welcome DanChess :) !

First game against Junior already provided an impressive show.

Junior: Athlon64 3200+(2.0Ghz), 256MB Hash, 3-4-5 men
Dan: PIV 3.2GHz HT ( 1 CPU), ca. 530 MB Hash, 3-4-5 men

Interesting and dubious move maybe is move 16 Qd6 by DanChess:

13 61 2368 11943683 1. Qd6 Qe7 2. Qxe7+ Kxe7 3. Rhe1 Kd6 4. Rd2 Rhb8 5. a3 Bb5 6. f4 Rb6 7. Nxb5+ axb5 8. Kb1 Rb7 9. Ka2
14 62 5667 27968761 1. Qd6 Qe7 2. Qxe7+ Kxe7 3. Rhe1 Kd6 4. Rd2 Rhb8 5. f4 Rb4 6. g3 Rab8 7. b3 Bb5 8. Nxb5+ axb5 9. c3 Rc8

I guess many amateur programs will be fond of this move as Dan, because after the more or less forced Qe7 and queen trade, the black king is stuck in the centre. Only problem is that it is placed very well here, and I don't think white has any advantage at all. In the endgame the king is not too bad there. Dan realized this a move later.

As usual Junior was not satisfied with equality and tried a few things in the game, that backfired a little against Dan's cold-blooded and calm play though, and it took it quite a lot of work and the not so obvious 29. ...h5! to equalize for real.

Rest was fun to watch live but not too interesting until a bug showed at the end of the game:

Playing Rh7 Junior claimed draw by repetition, this looks correct to my sligthly puzzled human brain. Dan doesn't accept this claim though. It is possible that it doesn't check this when using tablebases ?

Thanks for this cool program! Looks like some tough fighter :D

Round 2, not a spectacular game. DanChess had a very slight edge for some time, but nothing real came out of it.

Finish analog to last game, this time it is 3rd repetition with 56. Rg6

Dan doesn't play like the underdog so far. And drawing with the black pieces against Junior is not an easy job

1-1 ( 0,2=,0)
