One of the things I would like to do is to make this kind of symmetric merging possible on the level of binary books (although Marc Lacrosse somehow does not seem to like this).
Where did i say I do not like symetrical merging ?
I just wished to stress that the present sequential merging with precedence of the first selected elementary book over the second one is a most useful tool for building powerful books.
I have nothing against symetrical merging. I just feel it could be programmatically difficult to do whereas simply merging the underlying PGNs and rebuilding the book seems trivial.
