Yes i see. I won't fix the code as there are no problems with compilation.

[Book compatibility issues]
Below is the problem with the book. If there is no moving content in the book after moving the first 2 or 3 times, or if the movement is different from the book, the engine does not search. I don't know if this is an engine problem or a winboard problem. After edit game, I ordered the engine to search again.

I don't understand what the problem is. What I see in the log is that you play a3b3, and the book has a reply i6h6, which it also feeds to the engine. Then you play a0a4 (also fed to the engine). Apparently the book has no reply to that, so it sends 'go' to the engine to set it thinking. Which it does. When it reached 22 ply, however, it seems you interrupt that thinking by switching to Edit Game mode, and a 'force' command aborts the thinking.

I don't see any irregularity here.

I have been busy all the time. Recently I tested again.
And do you know how to use Winboard-janggi on mobile?

WinBoard is a program for Windows PC; XBoard for Linux / OSX. There doesn't exist an iOS or an Android version.

GUIs must necessarily communicate with the Operating System, and are therefore not platform independent. Linux and Windows have a completely different API. So the XBoard project is split into a 'front end' and a 'back end', the latter handling all the chess logic, and the former the display / mouse / keyboard interfaces. WinBoard and XBoard have completely different front ends. To run on Android, yet another frond end should be programmed.

ok. i see. thanks reply
If you develop a mobile version of janggi for commercial use, many Korean users will use it.

In fact, the current Korean janggi program has been developed for commercial use in mobile and PC versions. However, the stockfish engine performance is outstanding more.
What's important anyway is that some janggi enthusiasts are willing to pay for janggi programs.

I have zero experience developing for Android, and I try to stay away from Apple products as much as I can. I am sure Stockfish can be compiled for Android; the Chess version is. For a console program there is hardly any platform dependence.

Best approach would be to try to obtain source code of a Chess App for Android, and modify the board size to do Janggi instead. Not sure if open-source Android Chess GUIs do exist, though.
