Hello Jim,

Thanks for your toil on our behalf.

I take your downloads as soon as they are available.

I just wanted you to know that you have at least one appreciative fan.

:D

Thanks Roger.

I do wonder if everyone is getting rather tired of downloading all these constant updates, but if I think I've improved it a bit I like to share it.

By the way, a few people are having problems re-starting Tikov, so the

Try

Code: Select all
-xreuse

on the command line.

if you are having problems.

Thanks again,

Jim.

Tikov problem on one of my machines

Hi Jim,

Does the exe of Tikov_063 not run under PIII machines?
I have no problem on my PIV machine, but on my slower
machine, I get a funny error message(translated from German):
'Your page file is too small for executing this process'
This machine has 384MB physical ram and max 384MB
virtual ram managed by WIN2K ;)

Best regards,
Guenther

Hi Guenther,

I've put on my homepage another version > Tikov-compat16.zip
compiled with a different compiler (Open Watcom) for all Pentiums.
(Untested - I don't have a P3).

Give this one a try and let me know how you get on.

Regards,

Jim.

Tikov problem

Hi Jim

It seems it was another problem concerning the book building or
book loading process before each start of Tikov.
Well it really refuses to start when you have not set up your
page file max size to at least 768MB?? I wonder why this is
necessary for building/loading its small book?

Best regards,
G?nther

Thanks for that Guenther,
I'll take a look through the code and see if
I can see why.

Jim.
